allison & jeff + paoli wedding photographer + nixon photography

I took my quarterly trip to Paoli, Indiana last month to photograph all of my wonderful Paoli clients.:)I was extra excited about this trip!  Allison and Jeff booked me as their wedding photographer back in the fall last year, we met for the first time at their engagement session and couldn’t have “clicked” better. (haha, clicked!, get it? a camera clicks!) No really, we had such a great time and I can’t wait for their wedding in October! I love photographing at different places, it’s nice to get out of your normal and have fun with different locations! I love the Paoli/French Lick area, it’s always a nice change! We photographed their session at the French Lick & West Baden Resort in French Lick, Indiana.:)Thanks Allison & Jeff for such a great time, it was wonderful meeting you and your family!

jenny & david + lima wedding photographer + nixon photography

I photographed Jenny & David’s wedding in Lima, Ohio a couple weekends ago.  We’ve known Jenny’s family for a really long time and she just so happens to be my brother in law’s sister! (yes a little bit of a mouth full and can be explained a couple different ways, my sister’s husband’s sister is another way I had thought about saying it, lol) Jenny was in my sister’s wedding in July of 2011 so I was VERY excited to be her photographer, they are practically family and I was overjoyed to be part of their day. The day started out with getting hair and make up done by the fabulous Ashley Walker with Eye Do Make Up. Ashley is also a client of mine and it was so fun working with her! We all headed to the church for pre-ceremony pictures and for the bride to get in her dress. The day was so laid back and calm.  We planned plenty of time to hop around different locations after the ceremony for pictures. Jenny & David were up for anything, really allowing us to get creative and enjoy capturing all of the sweet moments throughout their day. There is an awesome DIY tip by the image of her flowers, so scroll down and see how she did her awesome centerpieces.:)

Thank you so much for having me there as your photographer! Enjoy!

Make Up: Eye Do Make Up

Venue: Howard Johnson Hotel

DIY: For her centerpieces, she wanted the color of her flowers to be the right shade so she spray painted all of the flowers for her tables! How clever!:)

mickey mouse inspired + nixon photography + first birthday

SO excited to blog this beautifully put together First Birthday Party.  I was very happy when I got a phone call to photograph the event from the owner of BabyGuide, they will be possibly featuring the party in their magazine next year.:) There are so many aspects that go into planning a birthday party and Nolan’s mom nailed every single detail.  From the venue to the food, decorations, name tags, photo booth, custom candies (done by Nolan’s mom’s fabulous candy bar company) Dulce Designs, beverages, cake, ect., everything looked fabulous! The party was held at a indoor play cafe in Montgomery called Ozo Cafe.  There were plenty of neat toys and activities to keep all the little ones occupied and for the adults to relax and enjoy the party! It is a great place for a party or somewhere to take your kids to play on those reallllly hot summer days when it’s too hot to play outside and you need a change of scenerey.  Thanks so much for having me at your party! I can’t wait to have little babies so I can plan amazing birthday parties and events like this one!

ryan + dayton newborn photographer

Meet Ryan, 5 days old, and full of chunky newborn cuteness.  He was such a champ through this whole session.  He barely made a peep! We had SO much fun with all of the props his mom and dad brought to play with.  I didn’t think we would get through all of them but Ryan breezed through every single one!  I loved that they brought items that personalized their session and told so much about them and what they love.  Enjoy!

senior 2014 + dayton senior photographer + nixon photography

We are so excited to have Allyssa on our team of Nixon Models/Reps for the Class of 2014!  She has such a beautiful personality and was up for anything!  It rained the whole entire day of her session and when she got here it had lowered to just a small drizzle so outside we went!:)There are a lot of things that I loved about this session. First, spring is here! Everything is green to the max and it is so refreshing to photograph with all of these amazing colors popping around.  Second, my subject was so fun to work with. She had the perfect amount of outfits and she was as laid back as they come when it came to being photographed.  We had a great time hopping around town and I am so excited to share these images with you! Thanks Allyssa!
